It was certainly a very good year for taco lovers in downtown Patchogue.
Lindo Mexico, a new authentic Mexican restaurant, opened last week at 58A South Ocean Ave., inside the space previously occupied by Rōnin Ramen and Duke’s Dogs.
The latest arrival of a Mexican cuisine restaurant in the village offers a variety of tacos, burritos and fajitas, among other authentic dishes. The menu offers several entrees, including shrimp ceviche, tomales, and tostadas, as well as a host of steak, chicken, and shrimp entrees, and enchilada platters.
The restaurant arrived just months after Ruta Oaxaca, another authentic Mexican restaurant, and Dirty Taco, a California-style taqueria with Asian influences, opened on Patchogue’s Main Street in the spring.
Lindo Mexico’s menu includes several options ideal for both morning and afternoon meals. Huevos Rancheros; Mexican-style huevos; and a ham, cheese and avocado omelette stand out on the breakfast menu. For lunch, the restaurant offers a selection of tortas or sandwiches. There’s ham and cheese, chicken, meat, and even a Cuban, all served with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, beans, and jalapeños.
The restaurant also serves a variety of soups, salads and nachos.
Perfect for beating the heat, the restaurant offers cold and refreshing Hachata and Jamaican, as well as a variety of popular Mexican soft drinks from Jarritos.
