Panzón now offers Mexican dishes for breakfast and lunch in FiDi

There is a new Mexican spot on the border of SoMa and the financial district. Called Panzon, it replaces the old Rico Mex at 53 Stevenson St. and features updated interior and Mexican classics for the downtown breakfast and lunch crowd.

In the morning, look for breakfast specials like chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and an assortment of breakfast burritos. The lunch menu includes burritos, quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and more, with the new company pledging to “use the best ingredients without lard or preservatives”, to “make fresh salsa made daily. “And to offer” quality food and courteous service. “

Paul B., the first Yelper to see the new spot again on April 10, said: “Fantastic burrito in Rico Mex space; family-run taqueria serving excellent food and a little more polished space than Rico Mex; some additions to the salsa bar, but pretty much the same great burritos. At least one of Rico Mex’s former employees is with the new outfit. “

“It was once the Rico-Mex location that experienced a change of ownership,” said Yelp user Robert C. “I can only comment on the nachos which I have always believed to be good value for money. The price has been increased slightly, I think and is worth it I am glad to have this restaurant with the return of former members Staff.”

Panzón is open weekdays from 6.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 53 Stevenson St. (between 1st and 2nd streets).
